Pension saving
Pension saving
Freelancers, unlike employees, have relatively few opportunities to build up a pension. For example, there is no pension fund like most employees. In order to prevent self-employed people from having only an AOW pension at the age of 67, you have to make your own arrangements.
I did some research on this difficult With the help of different resources (healthy finance) there is three option:
What ways are there for self-employed people to build up a pension?
Build up a real 'pension' you can't do that as a self-employed person (unless you can continue your 'old' pension if you become a self-employed person). What you can do, however, is to ensure that you can enjoy your old age later on. There are countless ways in which you can do that. One of those ways is an annuity product such as bank savings, bank investments or the ZZP pension. These are all different variants of more or less the same 'form'.
The three funds I would like to pay attention to are the ZZP Pension Account of BrandNewDay, BrightPensioen and the ZZP Pension of Loyalis. These three funds focus especially on the ZZP pensioners.
ZZP Pensions make use of LifeCycle Investing:
The three ZZP products (which I will explain below) make use of LifeCycle Investing. This means that the pension fund determines, based on your age and the chosen retirement age, in which funds and with what risk your money is invested. The fact is that you actually have to invest to be able to build up a lot of money. Saving just doesn't yield enough. Lifecycle investing is a form of investment in which the investment risk is higher at the beginning of the ride than at the end of the ride. In concrete terms, this means that you have no influence or choice on the risk to be taken and the investment mix. Whether this is an advantage or disadvantage is entirely up to you.
LifeCycle investing is a proven formula. Do you want to decide for yourself how your money is invested? In which investment funds and with which risk profile? Then the LifeCycle principle is not the best choice for you. Then you'd better start investing in banks.
In the following I will tell you some specific information about the various funds.
- BrandNewDay,
- BrightPensioen and
- Loyalis
After analysis of different websites on this topic the general conclusion is that brandnewday is the best option. Here is the Link.
Ps. As soon as he or she opens a pension account via this link, you will both receive € 15 as a thank you.
